Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of mobile RPG that actually trusts you to read. The writing has personality, the companions bicker in ways that feel human, and the turn-based combat rewards planning over spamming. You build a small party, learn their quirks, and slowly stack abilities that chain together.

The touch combat UI is well laid out. Big buttons, clear turn order, and you can speed up animations once you've seen them a hundred times. There's an auto-battle toggle for grinding, which I appreciated, though the harder fights punish you for leaning on it.

Battery-wise it's heavier than a casual game — expect a warm phone during long story sessions. But the chapters break naturally, so it's easy to play in sittings. If you want something with heart and tactics, this is an easy recommendation.
