How to keep gaming without killing your battery by lunch
Mobile games and battery life are natural enemies, but you have more control than you think. The biggest lever is almost always the graphics preset buried in the settings menu.
Dropping from high to medium rarely ruins a game and often halves the heat. On the racing titles I tested, that single change turned a hot, draining fifteen minutes into a comfortable hour.
Frame rate caps help too. If a game lets you lock to 30 or 60, picking 30 for turn-based or casual titles costs you nothing and saves a lot. Strategy and puzzle games don't need the extra smoothness.
Lastly, brightness. Auto-brightness cranks up outdoors and quietly eats your charge. Turning it down a notch indoors is the laziest win there is.
