Casinacho Games: a week with a pocket-sized time filler
I didn't expect much from Casinacho Games at first. It's a bundle of short mini-games with a cheerful card-flip look, and those collections usually fizzle out by day two. This one didn't. It kept pulling me back for the thirty-second gaps where you'd normally stare at a wall.
The reason, I think, is restraint. Each mini-game explains itself in a screen, then lets you play. The controls are pure tap and swipe, so I never needed two steady hands. That matters when you're holding a coffee in the other one.
Battery was the pleasant surprise. Half an hour of play barely dented the meter and the phone stayed cool to the touch. A lot of casual apps run hot because of constant animation; Casinacho Games keeps things simple and benefits from it.
My advice: treat it as a palate cleanser, not a main course. Between a long RPG session and real life, it's a nice reset. Don't go looking for depth and you'll leave happy.
After a week it survived the home-screen cull, which is more than most apps manage around here.
